It won't render on my computer due to requiring 2.1GB of memory to render. Thanks to http://renderfarm.fi I managed to get this picture of it! So if you've ever wondered what a space elevator looks like, this is it!

Of course it's still lacking trees and foresty elements, but that'll come later after I get the majority of it textured.

looking real sweet man, some colors would be nice though. the space grass looks very... desaturated :) must have taken ages to model that considering all the details =O estimated time?

Moult says:

Yeah the grass is pretty much temporary and will be improved in the future. (Grass in generated, so I didn't model the grass!)

Modeling might take time ... but imagine how long it'll take to texture it!

holy crap, that looks like it would take so long and be so tedious. I've always been more of an organic modeling guy. I couldn't imagine making all those little intricate pieces. looks wonderful
