The ThoughtScore Project

By Moult in 3D Animation
24th January 2012

The ThoughtScore Project is an ambitious one-man 3D animated film using only open-source software. When I started this I knew very little about 3D and this project is more about the discovery and learning process about making a film than the finished product itself - though an amazing movie would be good too :)

This project aims to "aesthetically please and mentally provoke". Throughout the course of achieving this I will be learning about modeling, animation, rigging, lighting, materials, visual effects, music, and scriptwriting.

The story is set in the future, in a time when the Earth has been abandoned in political and environmental struggle. A man has seen through the escalation of social disruption and is determined to stop history from repeating itself with a plan that will change the very nature of what it is like to be human.

Note that updates from the "21st July 2010" and before have been copied over from the original BlenderArtists thread.
